Short Nails Again...

I decided to get over and done with my long nails today. Thus, off I went to soak it off. Haha, so here I am with short nails again. It was a half hour process and I did my hand mask & nail re-rejuvenation. All in all, it took me nearly 1.5hours.
Did my first scrub for an excision of sebaceous cyst. Nervous but thankfully, all went well. Phew... Noelle was MIA from work today, hence work was a mad house...

Green Devil

Green devil = Lots of creme de menthe + ? gin or ? soda water = Not nice = Listerine (according to Abby) = Mint enough however not a very drinkable taste.
Dilute green devil = Concentrated green devil + Ice water = Nice = Finishing it up within 10 seconds = Not mint enough = No shiok.

Outing With CW

Went on a date with my long-time 'kaki' cum good friend cum mei mei who is one day younger than me. Been friends with her for a decade already. Cheers to our friendship. The date was fun except for the missing of our another mei mei, Vanessa.

Anyway, we started out having lunch at Sakura buffet located at Downtown East and took a mrt ride down to Orchard area. Did some shopping until nearly dinner time and ended up having dinner at Shatec.

We had a heart to heart talk at Shatec with waiters and waitress hurrying us so that they could serve our main course and dessert. So unprofessional of them. However, I was too bothered by the waitresses as well as waiters. My mind was more of feeling vulnerable and slightly defensive towards the topic. (PS: CW, I understand how much pain you are feeling these weeks and days, ok? *hugs*)

Took the NE-Line back and while I was on the train, I met someone familiar but we are not enough to even smile at each other. LOLx, weird right? Meeting someone you kind of know but yet can't bring a smile to each other. Guess, she didn't recognize me anyway...

Once I reached back, I found a beautiful necklace bought by my mei mei. So cool! How did she know that I am into pink quite recently and that I love cat-eye kind of stuff. Thanks a lot, girl!

Back to work tomorrow... Gotta wake up at 7am tomorrow and Baku is not back yet. Never mind, he is having his own fun... :) Uploaded the pictures at Multiply...

? Probation

As the title of my post suggests, I am still unsure about my probation status and that Sharon still seems oblivious that she needs to let me know how is my progress. I feel that I need to know if I am blending in well with the working team and if I don't pass my probation I would probably need to know where I have done wrong or insufficient and move on from there. However, I can't bring myself to ask her to let me know why I need to know my probation 'results'. The last time I tried was last week and she just said she would let me know by this week. Thus, the week hasn't ended so it is kind of unfair to ask her about it. Oh well, will just have to wait again... If by next week still no news, I will need to ask her about it again.
Still a bit unwell, but recovering from the tonsillitis and flu. It is weird that I don't show signs of being ill when I am at work, it is only after working hours do the signs of flu kicks in. Anyway, can't take MC. All the preggies in my company are like taking frequent turns to go on long MC 'vacation'. Hmm, just wondering: Is it that horrid to be a preggie that being preggie would require one to be unwell for work? Or maybe being a preggie, one tend to be more self-conscious and careful not to exert herself or stress herself?
Guess I would never know the answers until I am able to conceive myself, which is then again impossible with my PCOS and irregular menstrual cycle. So sad! Not sure how many people would understand the misery of not being able to conceive when you really wish to so badly... Lots of people have told me that I am still young and can have so many more years to try but they don't know that I want to be a young mum so that I would the energy to communicate, bond and take good care of the child. I don't want to be like 30 years old then have my first child and run the risk of having a sub-normal child or to have a have the child and not being able to muster up the energy to play vigorously with the child as he/she grows older. I feel that younger I have a child, the better. Anyway, I doubt that Baku would share the same sentiments with me. His concept is wait until financially more stable then have a kid. So yeah, another issue that we don't see eye to eye on, which leads me to be more upset. Never like having disagreements with him. Just like adding other crack to our marriage life, risking it to fall apart further. *sigh*
Ok, one good news, CW would be back in Singapore for a month. That would be nice as she only drops by at most twice a year. I really miss our old school days time whereby CW, Vanessa and me would hang out during recess, before and after school to chit-chat, gossip, study and even sing together all the pop songs that was popular back then. Life was more carefree and less stressors to worry about. Life back then was only study, school work, beauty and having steads or crushes or admirers. Haha... the words, crushes, admirers and steads now sounds a bit childish to me.
Hopefully when CW is back, the 3 of us could just get together for a mini chill-out session. They are considered my best buds since TPSS days.

Sick Again

*sigh*
I am ill again. This time with tonsillitis and slight flu. Hate it! Anyway, who likes to be ill, right? I notice everytime when it rains continuously for few days, I sure fall ill. Not sure why. Maybe I am allergic to the rain. LOLz.

End Of Probation

Yesterday marked the end of my probation. However, still awaiting Sharon to let me know if I passed the probation or not as well as if I am now a confirmed staff of Northern Hope. Not sure when she would be speaking to me with regards to that as Noelle, whose probation ended on 25 Dec 2006 has yet to hear any news if she had passed or not.

Anyway, I am not sure if I would survive admist the politics... *sigh* I just hate politics!

End Of 1st Week Of 2007

Yes, the first week of 2007 is ending soon...

Just came back from my cousin's wedding dinner. It wasn't fantastic at all. The food was kind of below average and the atmosphere was in the 70s and 80s with poor ambiance decoration. However, I don't blame my cousin, he ain't a rich kid and ain't earning great bucks. Anyway, for once, I don't envy this marriage as I feel sorry for my cousin for marrying his wife. She isn't a nice woman and I have witnessed plus heard lots of horrid stories about her personality as well as her behaviour. Many have said she behaves as if she has had no proper upbringing. She is very domineering towards my cousin and rumours has it that she had forced my cousin to hold this wedding. Poor guy! Kind of pity him... She could even flirt with my cousin's best man right under his nose and in front of the all guests + relatives. After the photo-taking with the relatives, she literally stormed off with a bearing a grouchy look on her face. *sigh* What to do? My cousin simply adores and love her too much to 'resist' or fight back with her unacceptable behaviour. Yes, I must agree, love is blind. Just like I have so many negative points but yet, my hubby stills loves me all the same. Thank God for that and this blessing to have found a man who truly accepts, cherishes, treasures, cares, loves and pampers me despite my willfulness and sometimes unreasonable temper.

First week of work, was ok. Sharon still has her mood swings and life is still as busy. Sherry is still as slow as before, so slow that we have to in turn help to complete 80% of her stuff, otherwise, we wouldn't be able to go back on time or worst end up staying back waiting for her to complete her task for the day.

I have 3 days more before my probation officially ends. Wonder if I have been confirmed or not? Passed or failed the probation? Hopefully, you people will hear good news from me soon or in my next blog entry. But, in my opinion, I probably didn't make it based on Sharon's attitude towards me especially after I took MC on 30/12/2006 when she needed staff the most. What to do? I was really unwell. *sigh*

First Day Of Work For 2007

1) Busy like mad
2) Noelle is also preggie
3) Sharon hinted to me that people are back-stabbing me to her and that walls have ears
4) Re-painted my nails to golden colour

Somehow, many people has commented that my nails are getting too long. However, I still feel that it is still long enough as compared to Gwen Stefanie's and Fergie (or is it Feggie) of The Black Eyed Peas. Theirs are like so long and beautiful compared to mine.
Anyway, I have decided to keep the nails until the end of CNY (Chinese New Year) and would trim them short.

I am begining to dislike 2007 even though I am born in the year of the pig 24 years ago... Never did want 2007 to arrive anyway...
